Units and body weight

Updated Oct 13, 2026

Loads are in kilograms or pounds, as you choose. Your body weight is used for one thing: estimating the one-rep maximum of exercises with added load.

Kilograms or pounds

Your units are set at your first sign-in from where you are: pounds in the United States, Liberia and Myanmar, kilograms everywhere else. Choose Metric (kg) or Imperial (lb) in Settings › Training whenever you like. A new result’s load is entered in your units.

Every result keeps the unit it was entered in: 100 lb stays 100 lb after you switch to metric. Estimates and the records on an exercise’s page are shown in your units, one decimal at most. Switching changes no result, and weights are converted exactly: 1 lb is 0.45359237 kg. A program’s load setups keep their own unit too (Days, time zones and units).

Your body weight

The first time you add a result to an exercise with added load, the result’s dialog asks for it, once; you can leave it empty and add it later in Settings › Training. It is between 20 and 400 kg, or the same in pounds, with one decimal at most. It is recorded for today; giving it again the same day replaces that day’s value, and Settings shows the latest.

Each result with added load is estimated with the body weight recorded on or before its date, so updating your weight leaves older estimates as they were. Until you add one, those results show “Add your body weight to see e1RM”.

Who sees it

Only you. Your body weight isn’t shown on the exercise pages, and no screen of the app shows it to anyone else, the team’s included.
