No. The trial starts without a card, and nothing is charged when it ends: the account moves to Starter, which is free.
You move to Starter. Your exercises, results, programs, runs and requests stay; only what Athlete opens closes.
Smart Training prices everything in dollars. If your card is in another currency, your bank converts the amount and may charge for it.
Turn auto-renew off in Settings › Subscription. Access lasts to the end of the period you paid for, and until then you can turn it back on.
From each result of 12 reps or fewer, by the Brzycki formula: load × 36 / (37 − reps). It is an estimate, labelled e1RM, not a tested maximum.
Yes, up to 100 with a load and up to 1000 for a bodyweight exercise. Past 12 reps there is no e1RM, since the estimate stops being useful there, but the result still counts for records of more reps and more load.
More reps at a load, more load for a number of reps, and a better e1RM, each compared with your earlier results of the same exercise. See Records.
No. Every plan runs the team’s ready-made programs and keeps the workout log and the activity. Building your own programs, changing them and copying a ready-made one need Athlete. See Programs.
They stay yours. You can open them, run the ready ones and delete them, and an active run goes on to its end; changing or copying a program waits until you have Athlete again.
None of the loads in the exercise’s planning setup fits the worked-out load, for example when your list of loads stops below it. Add the load, or switch to a step, under Planning on the exercise’s page. It doesn’t stop a program being ready. See Programs.
A result whose e1RM passed the base raised it, and the workouts ahead of your run moved with it. Undo beside the message puts the previous base back, as long as nothing else has changed it since. See Runs and workouts.
A run is a copy, so changing the program never changes it. With Athlete, Change the program on Home changes the run’s workouts ahead; the ones done stay as they were. See Runs and workouts.
No. Logging is optional: a workout finished with nothing logged counts as done as planned. Only logged sets become results, records and new bases.
Yes, in Settings › Training. Every result keeps the unit you entered it in; estimates and records follow your setting.
Only you. It is used to estimate the one-rep maximum of exercises with added load, such as weighted pull-ups.
In the app, open Send feedback from your menu, or press Report this problem on the error itself: it carries the error’s trace id, which lets us find what happened.
Not yet. While Smart Training is in a closed beta, an account starts with an invitation sent to your email. Ask for one with Request an invitation on the site, and it arrives when the team sends it.
In Settings › Profile, Delete account. Your sign-in, profile, exercises, results, programs, runs and notifications are removed. Payments are kept for accounting, no longer tied to your address, and your requests stay with the team, marked as from a deleted account.
Yes, whenever you like. In Settings › Profile, Download your data gives you one file with everything Smart Training keeps about you: your account and its sessions, your subscription and payments, your notifications, your exercises and results, your programs and runs, and your requests.
